兩個多月前 iCHEF 海外經理 Ceci 在香港與我們開會，知道她一向對素食的愛好，從 iCHEF 素食客戶名單中選出了接連在一起的兩間餐廳推介給她品嚐，由於還差半小時才到晚飯時間，決定先去位於山林道 8 號地舖的「梔子」試他們的特飲，我點了一杯 Red Mixed （即紅菜頭、蘋果、西柚與檸檬的混合汁），Rocky 和 Rachel 就看中了 Green Mixed （即羽衣甘藍、蘋果、番石榴與菠蘿的混合汁），兩款飲品各有特式，都非常健康，享受程度是出乎意料之外！Ceci 因著了涼，點了特式熱茶 – 紅棗薑茶，亦很滿意。Over two months ago, iCHEF’s Overseas Manager, Ceci, had meetings with us in Hong Kong. Knowing her fondness for vegetarian food, we selected two adjacent restaurants from iCHEF’s list of vegetarian clients to recommend to her. Since we had about half an hour before dinner time, we decided to first visit “Cafe Zi,” located at 8, Hillwood Road, to try their special drinks. I ordered a Red Mixed (a blend of beetroot, apple, grapefruit, and lemon), while Rocky and Rachel chose the Green Mixed (a blend of kale, apple, guava, and pineapple). Both drinks had their unique characteristics and were very healthy, surpassing our expectations in terms of enjoyment! Because Ceci had caught a cold, she ordered their special hot tea—red date and ginger tea—and was very satisfied with it.
記憶中，在夏威夷唸大學時，認識到 Gardenia （梔子）是名花，很香（是10大香氛之一），常被用來製造花串（lei），有喜慶時送給人掛在頸上作恭賀 。我欣賞店主愛花的熱烈程度，特選用了這名花做店名，真不簡單。I recall that during my university days in Hawaii, I learned that the Gardenia (“Gardenia” in Chinese is “Zi”) is a famous and fragrant flower (one of the top 10 fragrances), often used to make leis, which are given to people to celebrate special occasions. I admire the owner’s deep love for flowers, as reflected in their choice of this flower as the restaurant’s name—it’s truly remarkable.
很快就到晚飯時間，我們移步到隔鄰（山林道10-12號地舖）的「每日」，開始享受多姿多彩的素食自助餐。第一次體驗這樣有規模的素食自助餐，從附照可看到菜式多麼豐富，真是精彩絕倫、應有盡有，不知應從哪一道菜開始，也不願意停下來讓腸胃休息。Soon it was dinner time, and we moved next door to “Everyday,” located at 10-12, Hillwood Road, to enjoy a wholesome and diversified vegetarian buffet. It was my first time experiencing such a large-scale vegetarian buffet, and as you can see from the attached photo, the variety of dishes was incredible, leaving us unsure where to start and unwilling to stop for a break.
很高興「每日」老闆的母親 Rebecca 應 Rocky 邀請過來認識大家和分享過去多年的經營餐廳經驗，兩間餐廳都是選用 iCHEF 點餐系統，非常感謝他們這麼捧場！「梔子」是她女兒 Rion 八年前放棄了空中服務行業大好前途而來開辦的，而「每日」是他從事畫則師的兒子Roy 後來居上於一年後成立的，他們三人所經歷過的甜酸苦辣只有自己才知道，今時今日有目共睹的成就令他們自己及所有熟客都引以為榮！We were delighted that the mother of “Everyday” ‘s owner, Rebecca, accepted Rocky’s invitation to come over, meet everyone, and share her many years of experience in the restaurant business. Both restaurants use the iCHEF POS system, and we are very grateful for their support! “Cafe Zi” was started eight years ago by her daughter, Rion, who had given up a promising flight cabin crew career. “Everyday” was founded a year later by her son, Roy, who left his career as a draftsman. The ups and downs they experienced are known only to themselves, but today’s achievements, visible to all, make them and their loyal customers proud.
我一直想儘快完成這篇稿，等機會直接進一步了解他們對經營這兩間餐廳的感受。知道今天 Rocky 要回訪Rebecca，Rachel 與我實行跟隨著他，一起去發掘更多有關他們經營餐廳的趣事，先到「梔子」享用飲品。Rachel 因喉嚨不適點了熱的紅棗薑茶，Rocky 同我就選了冰凍的 smoothie – 他的是香蕉配杏仁、椰子水及海鹽，我的是牛油果配椰子水及龍舌蘭蜜，我們都大讚喜出望外！值得推介給大家。
I’ve been eager to finish this article as soon as possible and take the opportunity to gain further insight into how they feel about running these two restaurants. Knowing that Rocky was visiting Rebecca today, Rachel and I decided to accompany him and discover more interesting stories about their restaurant business. We first went to “Cafe Zi” to enjoy some drinks. Rachel, having a sore throat, ordered the hot red date and ginger tea, while Rocky and I chose cold smoothies—his was banana with almond, coconut water, and sea salt, and mine was avocado with coconut water and agave syrup. We were both pleasantly surprised! Highly recommended to everyone.
享用完飲品再臨「每日」用餐，可惜兩位年輕人今天都是休假，但 Rebecca 就熱誠地分享了兩位這些年怎樣用心用力將業務向前推進，包括親自動手繪畫及組合植物來佈置兩個樓面及高水準地保養裝修、並保持衛生和整潔，顧客有目共睹，非常欣賞舒適的用餐環境，不斷回來支持。After enjoying the drinks, walked next door to “Everyday” for a meal. Unfortunately, the two young owners were on leave today, but Rebecca enthusiastically shared how they have dedicated themselves over the years to advancing the business. This includes personally drawing flower sketches and arranging plants to decorate the two dining areas, maintaining high standards in renovation and cleanliness. Customers truly appreciate the comfortable dining environment and continuously return to support them.
Rebecca 並希望我們可啟動更多 iCHEF 功能，自動化樓面與廚房的溝通，減低員工的工作量及提升廚房補菜的效率。她親自帶 Rocky 進去廚房與大廚談話及觀察廚房佈局，方便他快速了解怎樣可以幫助他們。Rebecca also hopes we can activate more iCHEF features to automate communication between the dining area and the kitchen, reducing staff workload and improving the efficiency of replenishing dishes. She personally took Rocky into the kitchen to talk to the chef and observe the layout, helping him quickly understand how he could assist them.
看來下一次回訪時 Rocky 會把加強功能計劃親自向 Roy 本人表述。It seems that during the next visit, Rocky will present the enhanced feature plan directly to Roy in person.
